Popular questions · Getting started
Which Chinese shopping platforms can YANCHAO buy from?
YANCHAO can assist with purchases from major Chinese platforms including Taobao, Tmall, 1688, JD, Pinduoduo, Douyin and Xiaohongshu. Paste the product link into the purchasing service; you do not need a separate account for every marketplace.
Popular questions · Getting started
How do I receive parcel arrival and dispatch notifications?
Check the Messages area in the YANCHAO mini program for warehouse arrival, consolidation and dispatch updates. You can also follow the official YANCHAO WeChat account to receive supported service notifications.
Popular questions · Getting started
How can I estimate international shipping costs?
Open the live shipping calculator, select the destination, cargo type and estimated packed weight, then compare the currently available routes. The calculator is an estimate; the final charge uses the parcel’s packed dimensions and chargeable weight.
Popular questions · Getting started
Where can I use YANCHAO?
YANCHAO services are available through its WeChat mini program, web service and supported app experience. Feature availability can differ by platform, so use the mini program or official website for the latest order functions.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
Can I ship high-value items?
High-value electronics and valuables require confirmation before they are sent to the warehouse. Some items may be accepted only on specific routes and may not qualify for declared-value cover.
Cash, precious metals, jewellery, luxury watches and other prohibited valuables must not be shipped. Contact support with the exact item, value and destination before ordering.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
Which countries and regions can YANCHAO ship to?
YANCHAO has opened services to more than 100 countries and regions. Core markets include the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, Canada and Australia, with additional routes available to other destinations.
Route availability changes, so confirm the destination in the live calculator before sending goods to the warehouse.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
Can I ship food internationally?
Commercially sealed, shelf-stable food may be accepted on designated sensitive-goods routes. Homemade food, short-dated products and food requiring temperature control are not recommended; fresh, chilled and frozen food is not accepted.
Acceptance by YANCHAO does not guarantee entry into the destination country. Customs and biosecurity rules still apply, so confirm the exact food and destination before shipping.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
What is parcel consolidation and why use it?
Parcel consolidation combines purchases from several Chinese sellers into one international shipment. YANCHAO receives the domestic parcels, inspects and stores them, removes unnecessary outer packaging when requested, and repacks the selected items together.
This reduces the number of international consignments and may reduce chargeable weight, although the actual saving depends on the final packed size and route.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
Why are the warehouse weight and dimensions larger than the item?
The warehouse record initially includes the product packaging and the seller’s domestic courier packaging. During consolidation, unnecessary outer packaging can be removed according to your instructions, after which the final parcel is measured again.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
What services does YANCHAO provide?
YANCHAO provides a China warehouse address, parcel receiving, inspection photos, storage, consolidation, repacking and international route selection. It serves more than 100 countries and regions and supports both general goods and eligible sensitive goods through different routes.
Available services and restrictions depend on the destination, cargo type and current route conditions.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
How are parcels protected after they reach the warehouse?
Warehouse operations are recorded through on-site monitoring and parcel handling records. Staff inspect, photograph, measure and shelve incoming parcels before they can be selected for consolidation.
If a parcel is lost or damaged due to a confirmed warehouse handling incident, the applicable service and compensation rules are reviewed using the order evidence and current terms.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
Which items cannot be shipped?
Prohibited items include weapons, explosives, flammable or corrosive materials, compressed gas, loose batteries, power banks, outdoor power stations, tobacco and e-cigarettes, alcohol-based perfume, counterfeit goods, cash, precious metals, live animals and plants, seeds and fresh food.
Some liquids, powders, cosmetics, packaged food, medicines and products with built-in batteries are sensitive goods rather than general goods. They require a compatible route and destination-country approval. Ask support before ordering if the classification is unclear.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
What is the difference between estimated and final shipping cost?
The estimated cost uses the incoming parcels’ recorded weight and dimensions before final packing. After consolidation, the warehouse measures the completed international parcel and calculates its chargeable weight.
The order is then adjusted on a refund-or-top-up basis. A required top-up must be paid before dispatch; an overpayment is returned through the supported payment channel shown in the order.
Popular questions · Shipping guide
What do estimated transit time and delay cover mean?
Estimated transit time is based on the route’s recent operating performance and is not a guaranteed delivery date. Customs inspection, flight or vessel capacity, weather and last-mile delivery can change the actual result.
Only routes that explicitly include a time-guarantee or delay-cover benefit qualify under that benefit. The starting point, threshold and compensation are defined on the selected route’s current detail page.
Incoming parcels · Add incoming parcels
How do I add a domestic courier parcel?
After the seller dispatches the order, open Add Parcel in the YANCHAO mini program. Enter the domestic tracking number and an optional note so the parcel can be followed and matched to your account.
Incoming parcels · Add incoming parcels
Do I have to add every domestic parcel manually?
Manual entry is recommended because it makes tracking and parcel matching easier. If the seller used your complete YANCHAO warehouse address and personal UID correctly, the warehouse may still match the parcel automatically after arrival.
Incoming parcels · Add incoming parcels
How long is free warehouse storage?
YANCHAO currently provides up to 180 days of free storage from warehouse check-in. After that period, storage may be charged at the rate shown in the current service terms, and parcels left beyond the maximum retention period may be disposed of.
Submit consolidation or contact support before the free-storage period expires.

What do the parcel statuses mean?
- Awaiting arrival: the tracking number has been added but the parcel has not been checked in.
- Ready to consolidate: inspection is complete and the parcel can be selected.
- Awaiting payment: the order requires payment or another action shown on the order page.
- Preparing dispatch: the warehouse is picking, packing or handing over the shipment.
- In transit: the international parcel has left the warehouse.
- Delivered: the shipment has been marked as received.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
How do I distinguish general goods from sensitive goods?
General goods do not contain batteries, magnets, liquids or powders and are not restricted branded products. Examples include ordinary clothing, books, household goods and unbranded accessories.
Sensitive goods include eligible liquids, cosmetics, powders, packaged food, medicines, products with built-in batteries, magnets and certain branded goods. They must use a compatible sensitive-goods route. Power banks, loose batteries and other prohibited items are not treated as ordinary sensitive goods and must not be shipped.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
What happens to free gifts inside a seller’s parcel?
Seller gifts normally remain with your goods and are entered into the warehouse if they are eligible for international shipping. If you do not want them, select the packaging instruction that allows unnecessary items to be removed before consolidation.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
Can the warehouse return an online purchase in China?
Yes. You can arrange a domestic courier pickup and give support the parcel number, pickup code and collection time. Alternatively, support can arrange domestic forwarding after you pay the applicable courier and handling costs.
Confirm the seller’s return address and deadline before requesting the service.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
When can I consolidate a parcel after warehouse delivery?
The parcel becomes available after the warehouse completes inspection, photography and shelving. Normal processing is usually within two working days, but major shopping festivals and warehouse peaks can take longer.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
What is warehouse inspection and where can I see it?
Inspection records the parcel’s contents, photos, weight and dimensions and checks for obvious restricted goods. Open the parcel record in the mini program to view the inspection information.
Warnings may be added for prohibited, fragile or high-value goods. A basic inspection does not authenticate brands or test product quality and function.
Incoming parcels · Manage incoming parcels
What if a parcel is lost or damaged inside the warehouse?
Contact support as soon as the issue is visible in the parcel record. YANCHAO will check warehouse scans, photographs and handling records to determine where the incident occurred. Any compensation is assessed under the current service terms and the evidence for that parcel.
Consolidation & shipping · Dispatch and delivery
When will my consolidated parcel be dispatched?
After submission, the warehouse normally completes picking and packing within 48 hours. The selected logistics provider generally collects within two working days after the parcel is ready. Weekends, public holidays and warehouse peaks can extend this timeline.
Consolidation & shipping · Dispatch and delivery
How long will delivery take after dispatch?
Transit time depends on the destination, route, cargo type and customs process. Check the current estimate in the shipping calculator or on the selected route’s detail page.
For reference, current standard estimates include 7–11 days for the UK air route, 8–15 days for European air routes and 7–12 days for US air routes. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Consolidation & shipping · Dispatch and delivery
How do I track an international parcel?
Open Parcels → In Transit in the mini program and select View Tracking. Tracking may also be sent through supported mini-program or WeChat notifications.
International tracking can pause between handovers or while customs is processing the parcel. Contact support if the route has no update beyond the normal interval shown for that service.
Consolidation & shipping · Dispatch and delivery
What does ‘delivery attempted’ or ‘undelivered’ mean?
It usually means the local carrier attempted delivery but could not complete it, for example because nobody was available, the address was incomplete or collection was required.
Contact the destination carrier promptly using the last-mile tracking number. YANCHAO support can also help request an update, but local redelivery or storage charges may apply.
Consolidation & shipping · After-sales support
What compensation applies if an international parcel is lost or damaged?
Compensation depends on the selected route, the cause of loss, the declared contents and whether basic or declared-value cover applies. The current standard includes basic cover up to ¥500 per shipment, with optional declared-value cover available up to ¥10,000 for eligible goods.
Keep the purchase record, payment proof, parcel photos, packaging and tracking evidence. Report loss, shortage or damage immediately; support will review eligibility and the route-specific exclusions. Prohibited goods, inadequate packaging and losses caused by the goods’ natural characteristics are not covered.
Consolidation & shipping · After-sales support
What should I check when receiving a parcel?
Before accepting delivery, inspect the outer carton, seals and any obvious weight difference. Photograph visible damage and, where possible, open the parcel while recording a continuous video.
Keep the carton, tape and internal packaging and report damage or missing contents immediately. Claim deadlines depend on the carrier and route, so do not wait.
Consolidation & shipping · After-sales support
What are the main risks in international shipping?
International parcels pass through export checks, international transport, destination customs and last-mile delivery. Possible issues include inspection, delay, repacking, damage, return, tax assessment or seizure of prohibited goods.
Reduce risk by declaring goods accurately, choosing a compatible route, using suitable protective packaging, providing a complete address and checking the destination country’s import rules before shipping.
Consolidation & shipping · Submit consolidation
What is volumetric weight?
Volumetric weight converts the space used by a parcel into a chargeable weight. A common route formula is length × width × height ÷ 6,000, using centimetres to produce kilograms.
The carrier normally charges whichever is higher: actual weight or volumetric weight. The divisor can differ by route, so the live route detail is the final reference.
Consolidation & shipping · Shipping charges
Which payment methods are supported?
Supported methods can include WeChat Pay, Alipay and account balance, with combined payment or payment by another person available in some order flows. The payment options shown at checkout are the current authoritative choices.
Consolidation & shipping · Shipping charges
Does shipping include duties and other charges?
Not every route is duty-paid. DDP routes include the customs-and-duty handling stated on that route, while DDU routes such as Air EMS can leave import tax, clearance or local charges to the recipient.
Remote-area, oversized, overweight, address-correction and other route-specific surcharges can still apply. Review the live route details before payment.
Consolidation & shipping · Shipping charges
Why do I need to pay or receive a shipping adjustment?
The initial estimate is calculated before final consolidation. Packing materials, removed packaging and the completed carton’s dimensions can change the chargeable weight.
After final measurement, the system compares the confirmed cost with the amount already paid. Any difference is refunded or collected before dispatch.
Insurance & claims · Cover basics
Is there any protection if I do not buy declared-value cover?
Eligible shipments receive basic cover under the current service rules. The standard maximum is up to ¥500 per shipment, subject to proof of value, the selected route and applicable exclusions.
For eligible goods worth more than the basic limit, declared-value cover can be selected up to ¥10,000.
Insurance & claims · Cover basics
Can the insurance fee be refunded if I cancel the order?
Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation stage. If transport has not started, the fee may be refundable; after handover or cover has taken effect, different rules can apply. Ask support to confirm the exact order status before cancellation.
Insurance & claims · Cover basics
How does YANCHAO’s basic shipment cover work?
The current standard provides basic cover up to ¥500 per shipment for eligible loss events. Compensation cannot exceed the supported evidence of actual value and remains subject to the route terms and exclusions.
Older per-item examples should not be treated as the current rule; check the cover shown when submitting the shipment.
Insurance & claims · Cover basics
How can I tell whether a parcel is delayed or lost?
A tracking pause alone does not prove loss. Check whether the route remains within its estimated or guaranteed service window and whether the parcel is awaiting customs or a carrier handover.
Contact support when tracking has not changed for an unusually long period. YANCHAO will ask the carrier to investigate; a parcel is treated as lost only after the route’s investigation standard is met.
Insurance & claims · Cover basics
Can basic cover and declared-value cover both pay for the same loss?
No duplicate compensation is paid for the same loss. When an event qualifies under more than one protection layer, the claim is normally settled under the applicable option that produces the supported amount, subject to the policy limit.
Insurance & claims · Claims process
What documents are needed for a claim?
Prepare the shipment number, purchase invoice or payment record, product value evidence, tracking screenshots and clear photos or video of the parcel, packaging and damage. A carrier loss or damage statement may also be required.
Submit the claim promptly through support. Once the complete evidence is received, YANCHAO’s current standard is to begin claim handling within 24 hours; this does not mean every claim is paid within 24 hours.
Insurance & claims · Claims process
How much declared-value cover should I buy?
Do not insure above the item’s provable purchase value. Compensation is based on the lower of the valid actual value and the insured amount, subject to eligibility and exclusions.
Use the value supported by the invoice or payment record and review the current premium shown at checkout. Declared-value cover is available only for eligible goods and currently has a maximum of ¥10,000 per shipment.
Insurance & claims · Compensation details
How is an item’s actual value verified for a claim?
Actual value is normally verified with the order record, invoice, payment proof and product description. The supported compensation amount cannot exceed either the valid actual value or the insured limit.
Insurance & claims · Compensation details
How is claim compensation paid?
The payment method depends on the current claim workflow and the account used for the order. Support will confirm whether the approved amount is returned to account balance or another supported payment channel before settlement.
Insurance & claims · Compensation details
Does the amount paid differ for minor and severe damage?
Yes. Damage is assessed by how much it reduces the item’s supported value and whether repair, partial loss or total loss applies. The result is agreed from the evidence and cannot exceed the applicable cover limit.
Insurance & claims · Compensation details
How quickly should I report loss or damage?
Report the issue immediately after delivery or after a carrier confirms loss. Keep all packaging and evidence. Carrier and route deadlines can be short, and a late report may prevent verification or make the claim ineligible.
Account & policies · Service information
What does domestic return forwarding cost?
If more than five incoming parcels are forwarded in a short period for reasons other than normal shopping returns, a ¥1 inspection fee may apply to each parcel.
If a parcel has already been consolidated and packed, forwarding it to another address in China may incur a ¥30 handling and packaging charge per parcel. Domestic courier charges are additional.

Account & policies · Policies and terms
Which shipments are eligible for declared-value cover?
Declared-value cover is optional and must be selected when the shipment is submitted. It is not available for prohibited goods, fragile goods such as glass and ceramics, perishable goods, identity documents or other excluded categories.
Eligible shipments can currently declare value up to ¥10,000. The selected route’s cover terms and the evidence of value remain controlling.

Where can I review the shipment protection terms?
The binding protection terms are displayed in the YANCHAO order flow and on the selected route’s detail page. Review the covered events, excluded goods, evidence requirements and claim deadline before paying for optional cover.

What risks and responsibilities apply to international shipping?
International shipments pass through third-party carriers, export controls, destination customs and last-mile delivery. Weather, capacity, inspections, incomplete recipient information and destination-country decisions can cause delay, return, additional charges, seizure or loss.
YANCHAO will assist with tracking and carrier enquiries, but responsibility and compensation remain subject to the selected route, the declared contents, applicable law and the service terms accepted during checkout. Prohibited or inaccurately declared goods are not eligible for compensation.
