YANCHAO Vacuum Packing Service Fee Notice: CNY 20 per Packing Order
YANCHAO’s optional vacuum packing service is charged at CNY 20 per submitted packing order. The service covers ordinary vacuum packing and food vacuum-bag requests. Customers must select and purchase it when submitting a packing order; it is not added automatically.
This is a clarification of an existing charge, not a new fee starting on the notice date. Vacuum packing was introduced with YANCHAO’s 2.1 value-added-service release on 25 June 2026 and has been operating under the CNY 20 rule.
First published and last reviewed: 13 October 2026 by the YANCHAO Content Team, based on the current value-added-service price confirmed by warehouse operations.

What is the current vacuum packing rule?
The current rule is CNY 20 for one submitted packing order. The fee is attached to the packing order, not advertised as a per-item charge. Suitability still depends on the goods, the physical parcel and the option shown on the packing page.
| Item | Current rule |
|---|---|
| Service | Vacuum packing / vacuum-bag value-added service |
| Price | CNY 20 per submitted packing order |
| Scope | Ordinary vacuum packing and food vacuum-bag service |
| How to request it | Select and purchase the service before submitting the packing order |
| If it is not selected | The warehouse follows the standard packing instructions and does not vacuum-pack by default |
| Rule in operation since | 25 June 2026 |
The packing page and warehouse review control the final availability. Writing “please vacuum-pack” only in a general parcel note does not replace selecting the paid service.
What happened to the temporary free food vacuum-bag arrangement?
The temporary arrangement has ended. On 14 July 2026, food vacuum bags were temporarily handled without a charge while the system option was being completed, with customer-service staff adding manual notes where required. That transition did not make all vacuum packing free.
Food vacuum bags and other eligible vacuum-packing requests now follow the same CNY 20 per packing order rule. The clarification does not retroactively change orders that were already packed and confirmed. Historical orders remain subject to their original system records, customer-service notes and completed order result.
Which goods may be suitable for vacuum packing?
Compressible textiles such as clothing or bedding are common candidates, and certain food products may use an eligible food vacuum bag after review. The service is not suitable for every parcel.
Customers should be cautious with:
- goods that deform easily;
- products that can be damaged by pressure;
- items with rigid frames, sharp edges or fragile components;
- goods whose quality may deteriorate after prolonged compression;
- food that is not otherwise eligible for the selected international route or destination.
Vacuum packaging changes the packing method; it does not make a restricted product legally importable. Food ingredients, destination rules and route acceptance must still be checked separately.
How should a customer request vacuum packing?
Select the service before the packing order is submitted, then verify the completed parcel data afterward.
- Decide whether the clothing, bedding, food or other eligible goods actually need vacuum packing.
- Open the value-added-service section on the packing page.
- Select vacuum packing or the applicable vacuum-bag option.
- Check the number of services, displayed charge and parcel instructions before submitting.
- If the option is not visible, contact live support before submitting so the parcel can be reviewed and noted correctly.
- After packing, check the packing photos, actual weight, dimensions, chargeable weight and fee details.

Does vacuum packing always reduce international shipping cost?
No. Vacuum packing can reduce the volume of suitable soft goods, but it does not guarantee a lower freight charge. The result depends on the final carton measurements, actual weight, volumetric-weight rule and selected route.
Many routes compare actual weight with volumetric weight and use the higher figure as the chargeable weight. If compression reduces carton volume enough to change the higher figure, the freight may fall. If actual weight already controls the calculation, the CNY 20 service may improve packing convenience without reducing freight.
Customers comparing a consolidated parcel should review the final measurements rather than assuming that a vacuum bag always saves money. See What Is Parcel Consolidation? for the broader consolidation workflow, then use the live shipping calculator with realistic packed data.
Are standard packing services affected?
No. The CNY 20 rule applies only to the optional vacuum-packing service. Standard consolidation, removal of unnecessary courier packaging, repacking and the basic carton continue under YANCHAO’s current standard packing rules.
Other value-added materials or services—including corner protection, air columns, bubble wrap, leak protection and special reinforcement—remain subject to the options displayed in the system, applicable membership benefits and the warehouse’s parcel review.
Frequently asked questions
How much does YANCHAO vacuum packing cost?
The current fee is CNY 20 per submitted packing order. It covers an eligible vacuum-packing request selected through the value-added-service section. The packing page and warehouse review determine whether the service can be used for the goods.
Is vacuum packing automatic?
No. Customers must select and purchase the service before submitting the packing order. If it is not selected, the warehouse follows the standard packing instructions and does not apply vacuum packing by default.
Is the CNY 20 charge new from 13 October 2026?
No. The service and paid rule have operated since 25 June 2026. The 13 October notice publicly clarifies the existing fee. It does not retroactively alter completed historical orders.
Are food vacuum bags still free?
No. A temporary free arrangement began on 14 July 2026 while the system option was being completed, but that transition has ended. Eligible food vacuum-bag requests now follow the CNY 20-per-packing-order rule.
Will vacuum packing definitely lower shipping cost?
No. It may reduce the volume of suitable soft goods, but freight depends on the final actual weight, carton dimensions, volumetric divisor and route rules. Review the completed measurements before deciding whether the service changed the chargeable weight.
